Living assignments integrate broad areas of learning and development in a natural real to life way, bringing together the physical powers, mental faculties, spiritual nature, practical skills, mental competences, character traits, subject knowledge bank etc.
Purpose of Life Focus
Identifies the purpose of human life as revealed in the word of God: growth and development in the image and likeness of God, eternally (Genesis 1:26-28). Everything in the portfolio is geared toward assisting in restoration to this purpose.
The portfolio allows you to plan, document, organise, review, assess, reflect and build on your child’s learning; Implement biblical principles in a systematic, consistent way; Track your child’s learning journey over time in a structured way.

Portfolios are validated annually by a programme facilitator to objectively clarify and confirm educational attainment and that the work entered has been rightly connected to the purpose of life.

Three stage portfolio according to age and ability. Progression in living assignments through stages:
EXPLORER (6 to 10 year olds) - 5 Living assignments
PATHFINDER (11 to 14 year olds) - 11 Living assignments
APPRENTICE (15 to 18 year olds) - 16 Living assignments
For each living assignment, learners will progress through step by step, from the principles and ideas underpinning the assignment to planning, documenting and assessing their learning as they go along week by week.
